How to apply for the ISDE insulation subsidy

When will I receive my insulation subsidy?

More and more homeowners are choosing insulation to save energy and make their homes more comfortable. To make this even more attractive, the government offers various insulation subsidies. These subsidies significantly reduce the cost and help your investment pay for itself even sooner.

ISDE subsidy: financial support for insulation

The ISDE subsidy is the main national insulation scheme. Both individuals and homeowners' associations (VvE) can apply for subsidies under this scheme for measures including:

The subsidy is a fixed amount per square metre and depends on the type of insulation. If you have two or more measures carried out within two years, such as roof insulation and floor insulation, the subsidy amount per m² doubles.

In brief

Tip: in addition to the national ISDE subsidy, many municipalities also offer an additional local subsidy for insulation. This varies by municipality and can often be combined with the ISDE subsidy. Our advisers will be happy to work out which schemes are available where you live and how much you can save in total.

  • Since 2023, you can receive a subsidy for a single insulation measure, allowing you to recover up to 15% of your investment.
  • If you combine two measures within 24 months, the subsidy increases to 30%.
  • The work must be carried out by a recognised insulation company (such as Green Isolatie).
  • You pay the costs yourself first, then apply for the subsidy.
  • The application must be submitted within two years of the work being completed.

Changes from 2025 onwards

The government is providing further incentives to use sustainable materials. From 2025, the following therefore applies:
