Subsidies clearly explained

How do subsidies for new window frames work?

The ISDE payment depends on the insulating glazing and how it is installed. The type of glass, the area covered and any combination with other measures determine what you may be eligible for.

We take measurements of your existing window frames and glazing, advise on them as a complete system and help you keep the necessary installation records organised.

Can I get a subsidy for uPVC window frames?

The national ISDE subsidy targets the insulating glass, not the frame itself. If you have new uPVC frames fitted with HR++ or triple glazing, the glass may qualify under certain conditions.

That is why we always advise on frame and glass as one whole: a frame that suits your home and glass that meets the current requirements of the scheme.

uPVC or wooden frames?

uPVC frames are low-maintenance and insulate well. Wooden frames suit characteristic homes and are easy to repair. The frame material makes no difference for the subsidy; the glass and installation determine what is possible.

Municipal subsidy for glass and frames

Some municipalities offer their own scheme on top of the ISDE. Which measures count differs per municipality: sometimes only roof, cavity wall and floor, sometimes insulating glass too.

Look up your municipality in the overview of municipal subsidies, or ask our advisor during the free consultation.

How to prepare your application

  • Have the chosen glass checked against the current requirements before ordering
  • Keep the quote, invoice and proof of payment
  • Take photos during installation
  • Optionally combine with a second measure for extra ISDE benefit

Frequently asked questions

Is the frame itself covered by the ISDE subsidy?

No, the ISDE targets the insulating glass. With new frames with HR++ or triple glazing, the glass may qualify under conditions. We check this in advance for your home.

Will an advisor visit me?

Yes. Our advisor is happy to visit your home to inspect and measure the frames and go through the subsidy conditions with you, so you get targeted personal advice.

Can I combine window frames with insulation?

Yes. By combining frames with, for example, roof or cavity wall insulation you tackle heat loss in more places and the ISDE benefit may increase.
